iPad Games
3rd party apps for iPad are subject of intense discussions just like the apps for iPhone and iPod Touch. Apple developed the applications for its gadgets in many directions, starting with Twitter which clients can use to recipe journals and iPad makes no exception. Still, one application is more sought for than all the others available in the App Store and that is the application for games in the iPad.
iPhone and iPod Touch have thousands of games available and they are all integrated in iPad, as well. The difference is that all these games were accustomed to iPad’s particularities in terms of screen size and resolution. iPad surpasses by far Sony PSP and NIntendon DS together in terms of games number they offer.
Still, there are games which, if played on iPhone or even a PSP and on iPad, look and feel radically different, as tests have proved. Examples of such games are Scrabble (puzzle), Labyrinth (puzzle), FieldRunners (war strategy), Igga Arcade (children’s game). N.O.V.A has such sharp resolution, graphics and responsiveness which can be found only in Xbox 360.
The resemblance between iPad games and the conventional gaming machine ones turns out to be a disadvantage for iPad in the way that consumers expect more realistic game controls, just like in the case of the conventional gaming machines. Some games go just great with the touch and tilt-sensor input offered by the iPad, but others just seem more fun if played on a direction pad or standard joystick.
Such a small inconvenient pales away in front of the thousands of gaming capabilities and game titles offered by iPad which simply thrill game lovers no matter of age or preference. They just enjoy the immensely wide variety of opportunities they can choose from when it comes to games app.
